PepsiCo is recalling more than 300,000 Starbucks drinks after glass was found in some of its bottles.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said it is recalling 25,200 cases of the Vanilla Frappuccino iced coffee drink after detecting the material in the 405ml bottle.
There are 12 bottles in each case, which means 302,400 are part of the recall.
The recall is classified as a Class II recall, which the FDA describes as “a situation where there is a low probability that use or exposure to the violating product could result in temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or serious adverse health consequences.”
According to the notice issued on January 28, the expiration dates of the affected bottles are March 8, May 29, June 4 and June 10, all in 2023.

Starbucks The beverage is typically sold at several retail chains in the US, including Walmart, Amazon and Target.
The North American Coffee Partnership, a subsidiary formed by Starbucks and Pepsi that manufactures and sells the beverage, told Insider that it is “currently taking those products off the market.”
It added: “North American Coffee Partners is committed to the high quality of the products we serve.
“Providing a quality experience for our consumers is our top priority, and whenever a potential issue is raised, we proceed with great care.”
The FDA notice did not mention whether any injuries were reported, nor did it provide information on how the glass was found.
