Stabbing suspect locked up in west Phoenix business district

A suspect who stabbed a man locked himself inside a business, police say west phoenix.

Sgt. Philip Krynsky said police responded to the scene on Oct. 17 near 71st Avenue and Buckeye Road, saying someone was armed with a knife. Once there, police found a man who had been stabbed. The victim was taken to hospital. His condition is unknown.

According to witnesses, the victim was stabbed by a man inside the store.

“Officers were able to evacuate the building, they believed the man was still inside,” Sgt. Klinsky said. “Officers have cordoned off the building and are currently trying to communicate with the man.”
