LEXINGTON, Kentucky (WTVQ) – Fall festivities are in full swing, including an event designed to help care for animals.
Nonprofit Paws 4 the Cause will host its fifth annual Barktoberfest on Saturday.
The event took place at the Liquor Barn in Hamburg.
“It’s about giving people a sense of who we are, while celebrating the many accomplishments we’ve achieved now, and at the same time raising some of the funding we need,” said Paws 4 the Cause’s Anita Sprietzer.
The goal of the campaign is to help raise $5,000.
There are hawkers, food, live music, silent auctions, crafts and pet adoptions.
“We’re raising money for the injured animals we care for. We take care of so much, and that’s a little bit more heavy lifting,” said nonprofit president Remy Simpson.
Paws is currently looking for a foster home for his dog. If you are interested in learning more or want to donate, please click here.
