Paul Jarley re-appointed as dean of UCF School of Business Administration

Paul Jarley has been reappointed as Dean of UCF’s School of Business Administration for five years.

Provost and executive vice president for academic affairs Michael D. Johnson’s decision follows a five-year performance analysis of Jarley and the college by a review committee. The process includes feedback from students, faculty, members of the Dean’s Advisory Council, and university leadership.

“Under the leadership of Dean Jaley, the college and its faculty have become increasingly adept at helping students thrive in an evolving global marketplace,” Johnson said. “New programmes, such as the Master of Fintech in partnership with Computer Science, demonstrate the Faculty’s commitment to innovation and student success.”

Jarley has cultivated a spirit of entrepreneurship, collaboration and excellence since joining UCF as dean of the faculty from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2012. His accomplishments include fostering community engagement with the college, creating many opportunities for students to learn from business leaders, promoting fundraising and promoting the importance of academic programs and faculty.

Jarley is also a prolific blogger who launches the “Is This Really a Thing?” podcast about trending ideas and issues affecting the business world.

“The next five years are a pivotal time for UCF. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the college and across the University to reach our full potential and become the institution we aspire to be,” Jaley said.
