renew: One person has been arrested for a homicide in Oxford Circle this morning.

Woody Lapierre, 29, was arrested and charged with murder. Lapierre is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.


The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide in Oxford Circle this morning.

At approximately 3:54 am on September 25, 2022, police responded to a subject who was shot in the 1800 block of Oxford Circle. When police arrived, they found a male victim with gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lexington Fire Department. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

The victim’s name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
