New ring road reopens after vehicles overturn

East New Circle Road is now fully reopened after a car rolled over on the road Wednesday morning, causing police to briefly block a lane, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

The accident happened shortly after 7 a.m., according to Joe Anderson of the Lt. Lexington Police Department.

Only the driver occupied the vehicle and they were not injured, Anderson said.

As of 7.20am, police were closed in the right lane of New Circle Road, opposite Alumni Drive, as they investigated the accident, according to the Traffic Management Centre. At 7:40 a.m., Anderson said he expected the road to reopen soon.After about 20 minutes, the traffic control center issued tweet Says roads have reopened.
