Crews spend hours in frigid conditions fighting Sydney company fire – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

SYDNEY – Firefighters in Sydney spent hours on Sunday battling a fire at a Sydney business.

Crews were called to a report of a fire at a food manufacturing business in the 2000 block of Industrial Drive around 8:45 a.m., according to fire officials.

When crews arrived on scene, they found the coffee bean dryer ablaze, which had spread to other parts of the machine.

In freezing conditions, it took firefighters about three hours to extinguish the blaze and ensure it did not spread to other parts of the building.

All off-duty personnel were called to the scene to assist and man the fire station.

No firefighters or employees were injured.

According to fire officials, the cause of the fire was unintentional and mechanical.
