coop & spree launches commercial and retail business coop convos

NEW CITY, N.Y., Dec. 18, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — New York City-based modern retailer coop & spree has launched a podcast called coop convos that covers business, retail and wellness. The coop convos are hosted by Brooke S. Richman, CEO & Founder of coop & spree, who will be interviewing various business leaders, fashion trendsetters, and influencers in the aforementioned industries. Since Richman is an avid fan of the New York Knicks (Spree in coop & spree comes from the name of her childhood pup, a nod to former Knicks player Latrell Sprewell), she even interviewed and got some former NBA stars .

The podcast is available on more than 10 platforms, and the first episode airs on February 2. January 1, 2023. To date, Richman has attracted over 35 high-profile guests and has recorded episodes with Stephanie Gottlieb (founder of Stephanie Gottlieb Fine Jewelry), Dale Stabler, wellness entrepreneur and co-founder of Sweats + The City, and Orro+ Theheard apps and Allan Houston, 2-time NBA All-Star for the New York Knicks, Olympic gold medalist and founder of social impact lifestyle and apparel brand FISLL.

Notable confirmation guests include Sydney Sadick, author, TV host and founder of Spotlight Magazine, Jen Ross, co-founder of Swoon, Samantha Steen, CEO and founder of Cami NYC, Kendra Randle, designer of Kalore with founder and current wife Knicks star Julius Randle, Ora founder and CEO Kimberly Rose, and former NBA star, investor, philanthropist and Knicks radio personality John Wallace.

During the onset of the pandemic in March 2020, Richman temporarily moved from her apartment in New York City to her childhood home in Greenwich, Connecticut, where she learned how to code and created her e-commerce site coopandspreevip. com. With her store on Elizabeth Street in New York City closed due to the pandemic, she had all her suppliers ship her orders to her home in CT, where she fulfilled them. When she’s not opening new merchandise or packing customer orders, she uses Instagram Live as a way to engage with her coop & spree audience since she can no longer interact with them face to face. She decided to start interviewing different designers and influencers, many of whom she knew and many of whom she had never met, which she adored. So did her audience. It became a weekly tradition and the rest, as they say, is history. These weekly IG TV “interviews” not only create much-needed connections during unprecedented times of isolation, but also give Richman and coop & spree a new way to engage with customers and suppliers.

The form of coop convos is the same as Richman’s IG lives. Richman pays attention to each guest’s career path and personal story in a relaxed form. It doesn’t look like an interview, but more like two old friends chatting. While the podcast’s primary goal is to provide valuable and informative insights and resources for those with a particular interest in entrepreneurship, retail, and health, Richman promises it will also be filled with light-hearted banter and just the right amount of laughs.
