Colombian man killed in highway shooting, brother injured

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (Wisconsin) — A Columbia man and his brother were shot and killed while riding on the Edmond Freeway late Sunday night.

“The surviving brother who drove the car said he wasn’t sure what the other car or the potential suspect might have looked like,” Sheriff Koon said.

Harold Peake III, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene and his brother who was driving was taken to a local hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound.

“Based on what the victim’s brother told his deputies, they were riding between Ramblin Road and Edmund Highway on Princeton Road when they realized they had been shot,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said.

According to Sheriff Koon, his brother is expected to recover.

Sheriff Koon is asking anyone with information about the incident to submit a tip to Crime Stoppers or Detective Senn at 803-785-8230.
