Lexington, Kentucky (LEX 18) — The Lexington Baptist Health Center is hosting a screening and education campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer.
The event will be held at the Kentucky Theater on October 13th. The first part of the event will begin at 6:15 p.m. with a high-risk breast cancer assessment and mammogram scheduling. At 7:00pm, there will be a panel of doctors answering questions about breast cancer. Afterwards, the 1992 comedy “A League of Their Own” will be screened.
You can schedule your mammogram at the event. Community members without insurance will be able to sign up for free mammograms.
During the event, there will be free popcorn and drinks, and even a raffle.
There is no fee for the event, and free parking will be available behind the Lost Phoenix Theater on Water Street.
