49-year-old man found inside Carson company apparently stabbed to death, authorities say

Carson, Calif. (KABC) — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead inside a Carson business, according to authorities.

The man, identified as 49-year-old Xiaoyi Wang, had apparent stab wounds, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He was found Tuesday at his business in the 1700 block of E. Del Amo Boulevard.

The sheriff’s department told Witness News that an employee spotted the man at work around 6:15 a.m. Investigators believe the victim may have been a worker or an owner of the company.

“We knew the victims worked late into the night, so at some point, during the night, there was some kind of incident here,” Lieutenant LASD said. Derek Alfred added that the victim suffered serious body and head injuries.

The employee who found him reported seeing the victim’s personal items nearby.

Authorities did not provide details about the business itself. Alfred believes the facility is part of some kind of import business.

Investigators do not believe the incident is gang-related and there is no motive or information about possible suspects.
