11-year-old issued business cards to promote lawn mowing services

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – For Tre’shawn Pittard, the sound of the lawnmower is the sound of business.

Tre’shawn, 11, is a fifth grader at Riverside Elementary School. On one side, he mowed the grass.

“I got a lawnmower yesterday from a generous neighbor,” Treshawn said. “I’ve been using the mower for a few weeks and the tires came off and I had to get a new one.”

Tre’shawn, known as Rozay, is trying to fix his old lawn mower by soliciting business and handing out business cards.

Over the weekend, one of his cards and a photo next to Trey Shaun’s photo got thousands of shares on Facebook. Now, Rozay’s mom is planning to drive him to the Toledo area to mow the lawn. He credits his 16-year-old brother Jaivon Starks for the idea.

“I started because my brother started taking me to mow with him and he told me if I made more money then I could help my mom,” said Rozay, who is now looking ahead to the next season and planning to shovel snow.
